Erika Lew
Senior Planner
Erika Lew is a Senior Planner in the regional and large-scale master planning team at Calthorpe Associates. Through her work, she has been engaged in evaluating institutional structures for land use and transportation policy, and in the development and deployment of the firm’s Rapid Fire and Urban Footprint models. Her work focuses using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other modeling tools to analyze interactions between the social, economic, and environmental factors related to urban development. At Calthorpe Associates, she has played key roles in Vision California, Envision Bay Area, Louisiana Speaks, Fresno SEGA, and other major state and regional efforts.
Prior to joining Calthorpe Associates, Erika assisted on a project exploring GIS education and spatial analysis in university curricula. She also collaborated with a team to incorporate community walkability assessments into a public health element for the Richmond, CA general plan.
Erika received her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from San Francisco State University.
