Henry Posada

Senior Designer

Henry Posada is an urban designer with experience in architectural design, design code writing, and international urban design. His interests include affordable housing design, environmentally sustainable design, community planning process, transit-oriented environments and the impact of socio-economic factors on city fabrics.

While working at Calthorpe Associates, Henry has worked on various mixed-use neighborhood plans, international urban site plans, urban code documents and transit-oriented developments.  Some of these projects include:

Prior to working at Calthorpe Associates, Henry worked on the revitalization of store-front facades on International Boulevard in Oakland, California.  He also conducted a study on the historic ramifications and cultural impact of the physical confinement in reservation life for Native Americans and their exodus to urban environments.  Additionally, Henry worked on different architectural designs for individual clients. 

Henry received his Bachelors Degree in Architecture and his Bachelors Degree in City and Regional Planning in Developing Countries from the University of California at Berkeley. In his academics, Henry focused in the impact that international and local socio-economic politics have on the architectural fabric of cities in the Developing World.  He has been with Calthorpe Associates since 2005.
